Dr. Jain was born in Ohio and raised in Iowa. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison as an undergrad and was accepted to Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine after 3 years. While in veterinary school, Dr. Jain double majored in Animal Ecology and graduated in 1997 with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Jain spent his first year in practice as the sole full-time veterinarian in Des Moines, Iowa. In 1998 he moved to the Fox Valley area to begin practicing at Apple Valley Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Jain purchased the practice in January of 2014. His interests include a whole medical approach to veterinary care including MET, therapeutic laser, and currently studying Chinese modalities, Tui na, Herbal as well as Essential Oil therapy. Dr. Jain also sees the other small, furry family members.
Dr. Jain supports Gordon Setter Rescue and currently resides with Gordon setter, Donnie.
Dr. Carla has been a veterinarian for 30 years which makes her the oldest and newest veterinarian at Apple Valley Veterinary Clinic. She enjoys the diversity of patients, clients, challenges and new treatments in the ever changing practice of veterinary medicine. She feels that the true reward comes from helping patients heal and stay healthy in order to lengthen and strengthen that human-animal bond with their families.
She grew up in Waukesha, Wisconsin and graduated from Cornell College in Iowa and UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Her first job was in Hartford, Wisconsin as a large animal veterinarian for 5 years. Dr. Carla moved to Appleton with her family in 1992 and has been a small animal veterinarian ever since.
Dr Carla has two Siberian Husky brothers but misses having cats so she has to get her fill with the cats of Apple Valley Veterinary Clinic. She enjoys visiting with friends and family, watching hockey and a good margarita!
Jennifer has been with Apple Valley Veterinary clinic since 2013. Beginning as a receptionist, she now assists Dr. Jain in managing the practice. While enjoying all aspects of being part of the clinic’s team, Jennifer’s special interest include client interaction, client education, canine reproduction, and nutrition.
Jennifer and her daughter travel to attend dog shows to exhibit their English Springer Spaniels. Their success in the ring has taken them on multiple trips to Westminster Kennel Club at Madison Square Garden in New York City, National Specialties, and many shows throughout the country.
Jennifer and her husband, Mike share their home with their 2 dogs and 2 rescued cats. They have two daughters, Britt and Baillie, and a grandson, Owen. In Jennifer’s free time she loves reading, gardening, cooking, traveling, and time spent with her family and friends.
Sherry has been working at Apple Valley Veterinary Clinic Since 2004. She loves all aspects of her job but especially enjoys dental care.
Her 4-legged kids include three cats: J.B, Bug, and Gemma. Sherry enjoys reading, many types of auto racing, riding motorcycles, extreme amusement park rides, and spending time with her family.
Derra majored in English at UW-Fox Valley before graduating from Globe University's veterinary technology program in 2017. She loves animals of all kinds, but has a special place in her heart for pocket pets. She has eight guinea pigs and shares two rats with her boyfriend. She also grew up with two cats, Pumpkin 13 and Chase 10. When Derra isn't spending time with her animals or her boyfriend, she spends her time reading, baking, painting and watching movies.
Amber joined the practice in spring of 2018 as a receptionist and veterinary assistant. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2001. Her kids include Great Pyrenees "Sioux", three cats, a chicken, peacocks and recently acquired ducklings. Her hobbies include woodworking, art, the outdoors, animals, music and travel.
Betsey, Veterinary Assistant
She has three rescues that she shares with her husband of 29 years (Steve); two chihuahua mixes (Tucker & Gizmo) and one yorkie mix (Riley). She also has three grand-dogs (Ollie, Cooper & Ranger) and two grand-cats (Simba & Luna).
When she's not at work, she enjoys cooking, watching the Timber Rattlers, spending time with family and tending to her garden.
Todd became interested in the field of Veterinary Technology due to his many years rescuing retired racing greyhounds. Todd has been active in greyhound rescue for the past 12 years and has fostered 54 greyhounds through his home.
He lives with his girlfriend, Asha, and his retired greyhound, Allin. When he is not at work or studying, he can be found on a river fly fishing. Todd is also an avid reader.
Aimee is originally from upstate New York along the Canadian border. She moved to Wisconsin in 2002 and attended UW Oshkosh studying philosophy and also attended Globe University for Veterinary Technology. She loves all animals big and small, so much so that she is a vegetarian!
She has two sons, Kadin (age 16) and Lhyric (age 13). She loves spending time with her children. As a family, they enjoy traveling as well as being at home with their pets. She has two boxers named Jake and Laika. In addition to the dogs, they have a cat named Brisket and a Leopard gecko named Ramulus.
In her spare time, she likes to read, go to yoga, ride her bicycle and walk her dogs. Her passion is helping both animals and people in any way she can. She finds working in a veterinary clinic to be a really rewarding career choice.
Tessa joined Apple Valley the summer of 2017. She graduated from UW Oshkosh with a BA in Graphic Design. Then moved to Arizona to get out of the “’small” town, but after 12 years decided to move back to be close to family and missed the seasons.
Tessa enjoys spending time with her husband Sam, her son, Max, daughter, Maddie and her three dogs Otis, Daisy and Chloe. For the Past 20 years she has been in the fitness industry as she loves to work with people and has always had a love and compassion for animals which brings her to where she is now. She always has an extra dog or three at her house as she fosters in her spare time or is just helping out someone in need.
Shelby has been working at AVVC since fall of 2016. She was hired as a receptionist but is now working as a vet assistant. Shelby started college at UW-Fox Valley & then transferred to UW-Stevens Point for pre-veterinary Medicine. She is now doing an online program for veterinary technicians. Being a vet is the only job Shelby has ever wanted to do.
Shelby has two dogs, a chocolate lab named Maya and a cattle dog mix named Nalla. She also loves rodents and has three pet rats named Elsa, Nova and Luna. In her spare time, Shelby enjoys going to the movie theater, concerts and learning to crochet. Shelby and her husband, Jordan, recently purchased their first home and can't wait to get their first puppy together.

A senior at Kaukauna High School working at Apple Valley Veterinary Clinic as part of a youth apprenticeship course to gain experience in the veterinary field. In her free time, she likes to go hiking and swimming with her friends. As a member of Key Club, she also likes to volunteer whenever she can as well as loves taking pictures and drawing.
Vicki has been the Kennel Manager at Apple Valley Veterinary Clinic since 1999. She truly enjoys taking care of your boarding family members, really tries to make them feel at home.
Outside of the clinic life, Vicki enjoys camping at their trailer in Western Wisconsin with her husband, Tom and two Boston Terriers, Elvis and Rubee, and mixed breed Astro.
